DENTURE CREAM LINKED TO SERIOUS MEDICAL ISSUES

By: Kenneth Henley, IBDW General Counsel

As counsel to the International Brotherhood of Dupont Workers, I have become aware of a severe medical issue that appears to be caused by the long term use of denture cream.

In a nutshell, here it is:

DENTURE CREAM CONTAINS ZINC AND MEDICAL STUDIES SHOW THAT LONG TERM USE OF DENTURE CREAM MAY RESULT IN SERIOUS NEUROLOGIC DISEASE.

THIS DISEASE CAN TAKE THE FORM OF NUMBNESS AND WEAKNESS OF THE ARMS AND LEGS, AND POOR BALANCE.

I am presently involved in the legal representation of one of our member’s wives who has been suffering from these symptoms for over a decade.

This is a contingency fee only lawsuit with no charge for services to the plaintiff.

In order for someone to determine if denture cream adhesive is the potential cause for their symptoms, they must have their blood tested for zinc and copper levels.  Abnormal findings will show high levels of zinc and/or low levels of copper.

For those suffering from these physical symptoms and who are considering pursing litigation, it is important that they do not change their denture regimen until they have undergone this testing.

If they discontinue the use of their denture cream and the tests are subsequently performed, the test results could come back with a false negative and incorrectly indicate that they have not been adversely impacted by the use of this product.

It is important for these people to continue the use of denture cream and to have the testing done as soon as possible.  They should also retain any dental adhesive products they have used as well as the receipt of purchase for these products.

I will assist any member and those in their family, as well as any retirees, who are suffering from these physical symptoms and who used denture cream, in finding out if they have a potential lawsuit.  There is no charge for my services.  They should call, fax or email me directly.
