IBDW MISSION

The International Brotherhood of DuPont Workers is an organization whose purpose is to protect and improve the welfare of its members.   We do this through organization and education and by providing assistance to our member locals in collective bargaining with their employers in matters concerning salaries, wages, and other compensation and all other terms and conditions of employment.

We are a unique organization in the fact that every member, including those on the International Executive Board, is either an employee of DuPont, a company that is a joint venture with DuPont, or plant sites and businesses that were sold by DuPont.  The International Executive Board is composed of the Officers of the International and the President of each member local.

Because we all work for DuPont, the IBDW is very much in touch with the rank and file members of our Union.  We have a better sense of the problems because we see the problems first hand on our shop and production floors.   This is what makes our Union attractive to the unorganized sites who have been taught by DuPont management to fear outside interference.

We are not outsiders - we too are DuPont employees.

Our slogan is our Union - "Workers Representing DuPont, DuPont Dow, Bemis and INVISTA™ Workers".
